Introduction

Product description and intended use

The product Husqvarna Climbing Harness is a work

positioning belt and sit harness, used as personal

protective equipment in work positioning systems for

arborists.

The load-bearing parts of the product are made of

polyester, polyamide, aluminum and Dyneema®. The

ANSI Cobra® buckles are made of aluminum, stainless

steel, brass and polymer.

Do not use the product for fall arrest systems.

Do not use the product as lifting equipment as specified

in EU directive 2006/42/EC.

• This product can be dangerous if you are not careful

or if you use the product incorrectly. Before you

use the product, you must read and understand the

contents of this operator’s manual.

• You must obey all instructions in this operator's

manual. The risk of serious injury or death increases

if the instructions are not obeyed.

• The operator must have necessary knowledge and

experience. The operator must be trained in the

safe use of the product and in the applicable safety

precautions.

• The equipment should if possible be used personally

by one operator only.

• Only use the product for the specified intended use

and in the specified limited scope.

• The operator must have good medical health.

• The product can cause damage if incorrectly used,

stored, cleaned or if it is used with too much load.

• Do the product inspections as given in this operator's

manual.

• Obey local requirements and national regulations for

personal protective equipment for arborists.

• Keep this operator's manual and inspection report

together with the product.

• If the product is given to a new operator, make sure

that the operator's manual goes with the product.

• If the product is moved to a different country, it is the

responsibility of the previous operator to make sure

that the operator's manual is in the correct language

for that country.

Safety instructions before operation

WARNING: Read the warning

instructions that follow before you use the

product.

• All components in the climbing or work positioning

system must be compatible and correctly configured.

You must comply with the recommendations for use

of the product together with other components:

• Lanyards must comply with EN 354.

• Other PPE components must comply with the

harmonized standards under the regulation EU

2016/425.

• Pursuant to EN 795:2012, anchor points must be

capable of withstanding a static load of 12 kN. When

using a tree as the anchor point, the same load is

applied to the tree.

• Do a visual inspection of the product before

operation. If you are not fully sure that the product

is safe to use, take it out of service. Refer to

• Prepare a risk assessment (RA) that includes

emergency procedures for all possible emergencies.

Make sure that emergency and rescue procedures

can be done quickly and safely if an emergency

occurs.

Safety instructions for operation

WARNING: Read the warning

instructions that follow before you use the

product.

• The product must be used by 1 person only.

• Prevent rope slack between the anchor point and the

operator. Always keep the work positioning system

in tension.

• Select an anchor point at a level that gives the

shortest total fall distance and that is applicable for

the work tasks of the operator.

• Do not use the product for fall arrest systems. The

potential fall distance must never be more than 600

mm.

• There must not be any risk of free fall. If the

operator's feet slip, this is not considered a free fall.

• If it is necessary, make sure that there is a back-up

system, such as a fall arrest system.

• Pendulum swings can occur. Always be prepared for

the consequences of pendulum swings.

• Do not operate the product in temperatures lower

than -30°C or higher than 50°C.

• The metal rings are made of aluminum. Do not use

the product in corrosive conditions.

• If the product is subject to a fall, take it out of service

immediately. Refer to

Suspension trauma

If the operator sits immobile in a harness for long

periods of time, the blood flow can become restricted

which can lead to a suspension trauma, also know

as harness hang syndrome. These are examples of

symptoms but the list is incomplete since symptoms can

vary from person to person:

• Paleness of the skin

• Excessive perspiration

• Shortness of breath

• Impaired vision

• Dizziness

• Nausea

WARNING: Risk of death. Call

emergency services immediately if the

operator shows symptoms of suspension

trauma.

If the operator shows symptoms, obey these instructions

while you wait for the emergency services:

• Make them improve the blood flow by moving their

legs or taking the weight off the leg loops.

• If this is not possible, rescue the operator as fast as

possible from the suspended position.

• Put the operator in a comfortable position on level

ground.

• Consider other injuries.

Operation

Introduction

To do before you operate the product

1. If it is necessary, adjust the rope bridge. Refer to

adjust the rope bridge on page 11

2. Make sure that the stop knots are correctly tied and

that the safety stitching (A) is not damaged. (Fig. 5)

4. Install all equipment necessary for the operation on

the applicable attachment points on the product.

a) All attachment points cannot be seen when

you have put on the product. If it is necessary

to connect to such attachment point, do the

connection before you put on the product or let a

second person do the connection and make sure

that it is safely done.

5. Hang in suspension and try different operation

positions to make sure that the product is

comfortable and applicable for the operation.

To put on the product correctly

1. Step into the product between the rope bridge and

the leg loops. (Fig. 6)

2. Close the elastic waist strap with the hook on the

waist belt. (Fig. 7)

3. Close the ANSI Cobra® buckle on the waist belt.

4. Close the elastic leg straps with the hook on the left

and the right leg loops. (Fig. 9)

5. Close the ANSI Cobra® buckle on the left and the

The product is supplied with 2 rope bridges, tied

together. The top rope bridge has 1 ring.

To adjust the rope bridge

1. Select an approved rope bridge configuration. Refer

Approved rope bridge configurations on page 11

2. Untie the existing knots and install the necessary

rings.

3. Tie new stop knots according to the selected

configuration.

a) To adjust the length of the rope bridge, tie the

stop knots closer to or further from the center of

the rope bridge.

b) Make sure that the stop knots are correctly tied

and that the safety stitching (A) is not damaged.

To operate the product as a work

positioning belt

The product complies with EN 358, standard for belts

for work positioning and restraint and work positioning

lanyards.

1. Put your feet in a stable position where you cannot

slip.

2. Connect an approved work positioning lanyard to the

standing side ring attachment points on each side of

the harness. (Fig. 21)

To operate the product as a sit harness

The product complies with EN 813, standard for sit

harnesses.

1. Connect the product in 1 of these suspended

configurations:

a) Connected to the ring on the rope bridge, double

rope system with friction hitch adjuster. (Fig. 22)

b) Connected to the ring on the rope bridge, single

rope system with friction hitch adjuster. (Fig. 23)

c) Connected to the D-shaped attachment points,

single rope descent with mechanical adjuster.

Product inspection

WARNING: Do the product inspections

at the intervals given below. There is a risk

of serious injury or death if defects are not

identified.

Note: Refer to national regulations for other product

inspection intervals.

Product inspections must always be done before and

after each use. The operator can do these inspections.

If the product is used for equipment in occupational

health and safety according to EN 365, a product

inspection must be done at least each 12 months.

If the product is used according to standard AS/NZS

1891.1:2020, a product inspection must be done at least

each 6 months. These inspections must be done by

a competent person or the manufacturer. The detailed

instructions must be obeyed and the findings written

on the inspection sheets. Refer to

To do a product inspection before each

use

• Do a visual inspection of the product.

• If defects are found or if you are not sure that

the product is safe to use, take the product out of

• Examine the product for abrasion and cuts.

• Make sure that the product label is clearly visible and

easy to read.

To do a product inspection each 6 or

12 months

The 12 month interval applies if the product is used for

equipment in occupational health and safety according

to EN 365. The 6 month interval applies if the product is

used according to standard AS/NZS 1891.1:2020.

• Do a check of the general product condition:

assembled.

a) Make sure that the product label is clearly visible

and easy to read.

b) Make sure that the product label has a CE

marking and specifies the year and month of

manufacture.

• Examine all individual parts for these types of

mechanical damage:

a) Cuts and cracks

b) Indentations

c) Fibrillation and abrasion of fiber parts

d) Formation of ribs

e) Kinks

f) Crush damages

• Examine all individual parts for thermal or chemical

damages, such as fusing or hardening.

• Make sure that there is no discoloration of the

product.

• Examine all metal components for corrosion and

deformations.

• Do a check of the condition and completeness of the

end connections:

a) Make sure that there are no damages to the

stitching, such as abrasion of the sewing thread.

b) Make sure that there is no slippage of the

splices.

c) Examine the knots.

After the product inspection, mark the product with the

date of inspection or with the next date for inspection.

Maintenance

To repair the product

• Only let the manufacturer do repairs.

To clean the product

Note: The leg paddings and back padding can be

removed and cleaned separately.

WARNING: If the product is exposed

to corrosive substances, such as chemicals,

aggressive environments or tree exudates,

speak to the manufacturer. Do not operate

the product until the manufacturer informs

you in writing that it is safe to use.

1. Gently hand wash the product with a mild detergent

and water (≤30°C).

WARNING: Do not machine wash

or use a high-pressure washer.

2. Hang the product to dry in a location with good

airflow, at room temperature, away from sunlight,

fires or other heat sources.

WARNING: Do not use the product

or put it in storage before it is fully dry.

3. Clean the ANSI Cobra® buckles in warm water. If it

is necessary, use a neutral soap.

4. Flush the ANSI Cobra® buckles with a large quantity

of clear water.

5. Lubricate the joints of all metal parts with a dry

lubricant.

To disinfect the product

WARNING: Do not disinfect the

product more often than absolutely

necessary.

WARNING: Only use disinfectants that

do not damage the synthetic material of the

product. We recommend isopropyl alcohol,

70% or ethanol.

WARNING: Obey the safety

instructions for the disinfectant.

1. Apply the disinfectant to the product surface.

2. Flush with clear water.

3. As an alternative to disinfectants, clean in hot water

(60°C) for a maximum of 1 hour.

4. Hang the product to dry in a location with good

airflow, at room temperature, away from sunlight,

fires or other heat sources.

WARNING: Do not use the product

or put it in storage before it is fully dry.

To replace a rope bridge

WARNING: Do not replace the rope

bridge unless you are a competent person

or under supervision of a competent person.

1. Use only Husqvarna rope bridges.

2. Obey the instructions that are included with the new

rope bridge.

3. Before the product is used again, make sure that

the new rope bridge is installed correctly in an

approved configuration. Refer to

Service life of the product

The service life of the product is a maximum of 10 years

from the date of manufacture.

The product must be discarded after a maximum of 10

years of use.

Maximum service life can only be achieved if the product

is used not more than 1 week each year and kept in

storage correctly.

The actual service life depends fully on the condition of

the product. The condition of the product is affected by

these factors:

• UV radiation

• Type and frequency of use

• Product handling and storage

• Climatic influences such as ice or snow

• Operational environments such as salt or sand

• Chemical influences such as battery acid

• Heat contamination

• Mechanical deformation or distortion

Extreme conditions during operation can shorten the

service life to a single use only. If the product is

damaged before its first use, for example during

transportation, it must be discarded immediately and not

used.

Mechanical wear and sunlight decrease the service life

considerably. Bleached or abraded fibers, discoloration,

and hardened spots are signs that show that the product

must be discarded.

To take the product out of service

If the product is subject to a fall or shows signs of wear

or damage, it must be taken out of service.

1. If you are sure that the product is damaged, discard

it.

2. If you think that the product can be damaged, do

these steps:

a) Put a clearly visible label or marking on the

product to prevent accidental use.

b) Let a competent person or the manufacturer do

the required tests and inspections.

If the competent person gives a written approval, the

product can be used again.

Transportation, storage and disposal

Transportation and storage

• Before transportation and storage, make sure that

the product is clean and dry.

• Keep the product away from moisture, light, dirt and

nibbling pests.

• Make sure that the storage space meets these

requirements:

• There is no compaction of the product.

• The temperature is 15–25°C.

• The air flow is sufficient.

• There is no sunlight, UV radiation or light from

welding equipment.

• There are no objects with sharp edges.

• There are no chemicals or other aggressive

environments.

Disposal

• Obey national regulations.

• Use the local recycling system.

Úvod

Popis výrobku azamýšlené použití

Výrobek Husqvarna Climbing Harness je pracovní

polohovací pás asedací nosný popruh, který se

používá jako osobní ochranný prostředek vpracovních

polohovacích systémech pro arboristy.

Nosné části výrobku jsou vyrobeny zpolyesteru,

polyamidu, hliníku atkaniny Dyneema®. Spony ANSI

Cobra® jsou vyrobeny zhliníku, nerezové oceli, mosazi

apolymeru.

Nepoužívejte výrobek vsystému zachycení pádu.

Nepoužívejte výrobek jako zvedací vybavení, jak je

stanoveno ve směrnici EU 2006/42/ES.

Obecné bezpečnostní pokyny

VÝSTRAHA: Před použitím výrobku si

přečtěte následující varování.

• Při neopatrném nebo nesprávném použití může

být tento výrobek velmi nebezpečný. Než začnete

výrobek používat, musíte si prostudovat tento návod

kpoužití aporozumět jeho obsahu.

• Řiďte se všemi pokyny vnávodu kpoužívání. Pokud

Bezpečnostní pokyny před použitím

VÝSTRAHA: Před použitím výrobku si

přečtěte následující varování.

• Všechny součásti lezeckého nebo pracovního

polohovacího systému musí být kompatibilní

asprávně nakonfigurované. Musíte dodržovat

doporučení pro používání výrobku společně

sdalšími součástmi:

• Smyčky musí splňovat normu EN354.

• Ostatní osobní ochranné prostředky ajejich

součásti musí splňovat harmonizované normy

podle nařízení EU2016/425.

• Podle normy EN795:2012 musí být kotevní body

schopny odolat statickému zatížení 12kN. Pokud

použijete strom jako kotevní bod, aplikuje se na něj

stejné zatížení.

• Před použitím výrobek vizuálně zkontrolujte. Pokud

si nejste zcela jisti, zda je používání výrobku

• Připravte vyhodnocení rizik, které zahrnuje postupy

pro všechny možné nouzové situace. Zajistěte, aby

nouzové azáchranné postupy mohly být provedeny

rychle abezpečně, pokud dojde knouzové situaci.

Bezpečnostní pokyny pro provoz

VÝSTRAHA: Před použitím výrobku si

přečtěte následující varování.

• Výrobek musí používat pouze jedna osoba.

• Zabraňte prověšení lana mezi kotevním bodem

auživatelem. Vždy udržujte pracovní polohovací

systém vnapnuté poloze.

• Vyberte kotevní bod na takové úrovni, která zajišťuje

nejkratší celkovou vzdálenost pádu akterá vyhovuje

pracovním úkolům uživatele.

• Nepoužívejte výrobek vsystému zachycení pádu.

Potenciální vzdálenost pádu nesmí nikdy přesáhnout

600mm.

• Nesmí existovat žádné riziko volného pádu. Ovolný

pád se nejedná vpřípadě, že uživateli uklouznou

nohy.

• Vpřípadě potřeby se ujistěte, že je kdispozici

záložní systém, například systém zachycení pádu.

• Může dojít ke kývavým pohybům. Vždy buďte

připraveni na následky kývavých pohybů.

• Nepoužívejte výrobek při teplotách nižších než –

30°C nebo vyšších než 50°C.

• Kovové kroužky jsou vyrobeny zhliníku.

Nepoužívejte výrobek vkorozivních podmínkách.

• Pokud je výrobek vystaven pádu, okamžitě jej

vyřaďte zprovozu. Viz část

Trauma ze zavěšení

Pokud uživatel nehybně sedí vnosném popruhu po

delší dobu, může dojít komezení průtoku krve, což

může vést ktraumatu ze zavěšení, také známému

jako syndrom zvisu. Zde je výčet příkladů příznaků,

který však není úplný, protože příznaky se mohou

ujednotlivých osob lišit:

• Bledost kůže

• Nadměrné pocení

• Dýchavičnost

• Zhoršené vidění

• Závratě

• Nevolnost

VÝSTRAHA: Nebezpečí smrti. Pokud

uživatel vykazuje příznaky traumatu ze

zavěšení, okamžitě zavolejte záchrannou

službu.

Pokud uživatel vykazuje dané příznaky, dodržujte při

čekání na záchrannou službu tyto pokyny:

• Pomozte pracovníkovi zlepšit průtok krve pohybem

jeho nohama nebo odlehčením nožních smyček.

• Pokud to není možné, co nejrychleji vyprostěte

uživatele ze zavěšené polohy.

• Uživatele položte do pohodlné polohy na rovné zemi.

• Zvažte další zranění.

VÝSTRAHA: Než začnete svýrobkem

pracovat, přečtěte si důkladně kapitolu

obezpečnosti.

Před provozem výrobku

1. Vpřípadě potřeby nastavte lanový můstek. Viz část

2. Ujistěte se, že jsou dorazové uzly správně svázané

aže bezpečnostní steh (A) není poškozen. (Obr. 5)

3. Dbejte na správné nasazení výrobku. Viz část

4. Nainstalujte veškeré vybavení nezbytné pro provoz

na příslušné upevňovací body výrobku.

a) Po nasazení výrobku nejsou viditelné všechny

upevňovací body. Pokud je nutné připojit se

ktakovému upevňovacímu bodu, učiňte tak

před nasazením výrobku nebo nechte připojení

provést druhou osobou aujistěte se, že je

připojení bezpečné.

5. Zavěste se do visu avyzkoušejte různé provozní

polohy, abyste se ujistili, že je výrobek pohodlný

avhodný pro danou úlohu.

Správné nasazení výrobku

1. Stoupněte si do popruhu mezi lanový můstek

anožní smyčky. (Obr. 6)

2. Zavřete elastický bederní popruh pomocí háčku,

který je na něm upevněn. (Obr. 7)

3. Zavřete sponu ANSI Cobra® na bederním popruhu.

4. Elastické nožní popruhy uzavřete háčkem na levé

Nastavení lanového můstku

1. Vyberte schválenou konfiguraci lanového můstku.

2. Uvolněte stávající uzly anainstalujte potřebné

kroužky.

3. Podle vybrané konfigurace uvažte nové dorazové

uzly.

a) Chcete-li nastavit délku lanového můstku, uvažte

dorazové uzly blíže nebo dále od jeho středu.

b) Ujistěte se, že jsou dorazové uzly správně

svázané aže bezpečnostní steh (A) není

poškozen. (Obr. 5)

Použití výrobku coby pásu pro zajištění

pracovní polohy

Výrobek vyhovuje normě EN358 pro pásy pro zajištění

pracovní polohy auchycení při práci apracovní

polohovací smyčky.

1. Umístěte nohy do stabilní polohy, ve které nemůžete

uklouznout.

2. Připojte schválenou pracovní polohovací smyčku

kupevňovacím bodům na stojacích bočních

kroužcích po obou stranách nosného popruhu. (Obr.

Použití výrobku coby sedacího

nosného popruhu

Výrobek vyhovuje normě EN813 pro sedací nosné

popruhy.

1. Připojte výrobek k1 ztěchto závěsných konfigurací:

a) Připojený ke kroužku na lanovém můstku,

dvoulanový systém se seřizováním pomocí

prusíkovacího uzlu. (Obr. 22)

b) Připojený ke kroužku na lanovém můstku,

jednolanový systém se seřizováním pomocí

prusíkovacího uzlu. (Obr. 23)

c) Připojený kupevňovacím bodům ve tvaru

písmeneD, sestup sjedním lanem

smechanickým seřizováním. (Obr. 24)

Kontrola výrobku

VÝSTRAHA: Výrobek kontrolujte

vníže uvedených intervalech. Pokud

byste nerozpoznali závady, hrozí nebezpečí

vážného nebo smrtelného zranění.

Povšimněte si: Další intervaly kontroly výrobku

naleznete vnárodních předpisech.

Výrobek musí být zkontrolován před každým použitím

apo něm. Tyto kontroly může provádět uživatel.

Pokud je výrobek používán pro vybavení voblasti

bezpečnosti aochrany zdraví při práci podle normy

EN365, musí být výrobek kontrolován minimálně

každých 12měsíců. Pokud je výrobek používán podle

normy AS/NZS 1891.1:2020, musí být kontrola výrobku

provedena minimálně každých 6měsíců. Tyto kontroly

musí provádět kompetentní osoba nebo výrobce. Je

třeba dodržovat podrobné pokyny azjištěné poznatky

• Proveďte vizuální kontrolu výrobku.
